Garrett Weinberg

Full-stack web developer in Berlin, Connecticut. I build websites, web applications, and internal tools for agencies, businesses, and non-profits.

I am currently a developer at GO Agency, where I build client sites on Concrete CMS and WordPress and maintain the component libraries and internal tools the agency builds on. Alongside that I take on freelance work: custom web applications on Next.js and AWS, WordPress and Shopify builds, and technical SEO for a digital marketing agency's client roster.

Since 2017 I have worked across WordPress, Concrete CMS, Next.js, Laravel, and Shopify, picking the tool that fits the project rather than the other way around. Every site I ship is built to WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and structured for search from the start. I care about the parts that outlast the launch: clean markup, sensible content models, and code the next developer can read.

Senior Developer

GO Agency
- Build and maintain client websites on Concrete CMS and WordPress, and develop the custom packages and blocks those sites need.
- Created Catalyst, the agency's Concrete CMS component library: 34 block types on a shared design-token system, released as a versioned package that every new Concrete site starts from. Ported it to WordPress as a 41-block ACF theme with an automated WCAG contrast check in the build.
- Built Atlas, an internal sitemap planning tool where the team drafts site structures on a drag-and-drop canvas and publishes read-only snapshots for client review. Next.js, React Flow, and PostgreSQL, deployed to AWS through GitHub Actions.
- Built an AI content package for Concrete CMS that generates llms.txt files and missing meta titles and descriptions across roughly twenty agency sites through a nightly Claude batch job on AWS Bedrock.
- Wrote smaller Concrete CMS packages the team uses across client sites, including an accessible menu builder and product aggregation tools that pull catalog data into a site.

- Design and build custom websites on WordPress, Next.js, Shopify, HubSpot, and Drupal for small and mid-sized businesses.
- Built a lead-management and canvassing app for a Connecticut home-exteriors company: a mobile-first progressive web app on Next.js and TypeScript with map-based prospect tracking, two-way sync with their CRM, and an AWS backend of Amplify, RDS, S3, SES, and EventBridge.
- Built a multi-tenant client portal for Beyond Digital Marketing on Next.js and AWS, with Terraform-managed infrastructure, Lambda image processing, and row-level tenant isolation in Postgres that is tested on every build.
- Built a reporting dashboard that pulls Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Business Profile, and BrightLocal data into a private dashboard for each agency client.
- Handle technical SEO and keyword research for a digital marketing agency's client roster, including a shared keyword-data library, Search Console tooling, and AI search visibility reporting.
- Built a custom quality-control application on Laravel and Vue, and a survey system that pushes WordPress form results into Google Looker Studio for automated reporting.
- Build and maintain a set of informational websites for a non-profit organization, and maintain an open-source command-line tool for syncing WordPress sites between WP Engine and local environments.

- Led development on multiple large-scale university websites.
- Built and maintained client sites on WordPress, Eleventy, Gatsby, and Next.js.
- Developed custom e-commerce systems with WooCommerce, Shopify, and the Stripe API.
- Planned and built a suite of four internal applications with React, Node.js, and MongoDB to streamline agency operations.

- Ran day-to-day operations of a small ultrasonic equipment repair center that Branson Ultrasonics referred its customers to, handling roughly 90 percent of Branson's US warranty repairs.
- Built and maintained the company's WordPress and WooCommerce website and ran its Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns.
- Rebuilt the legacy Paradox repair-tracking application in Microsoft Access.
- Handled customer service, sales, and accounts receivable, and diagnosed and repaired ultrasonic tanks, piezoelectric power supplies, and control boards.
